We had the third hearing on the case on the 15th of February, 2019. Additional Solicitor General Ms Madhavi Dewan appeared for the government. They stated that the departmental guidelines are not exhaustive. The Court has asked them to clarify that each department has to check individually for functional disability.
The Court also acceded to their request for grant of four weeks' time to file counter affidavit.
The next hearing is expected to be held on the 25th of March, 2019.
